here some words of explenations to my new paintings series :

I am a workaholic and a year ago I have met a person who told me provocative :”world-is-changing-from-doing-nothing”.

Life = Fight?

The „fromdoingnothing” exhibition shows the process of evolving thinking.

I thought about the life as a game

We get it differently.

We play roles.

We have both benefits and costs playing these roles.

I thought about life, that it is cruel, unfeeling, vicious.

I thought life was a struggle, dressed in socially acceptable rules – games.

Life has been to me an enormous stone round my neck, which I struggle with constantly.

Life as an act of heroism.

I struggle with life like with the enemy.

Working on the new paintings, at first I threw out emotions, fear, anxiety, uncertainty. I painted a face covered with hands. Syringe with soothing substance.

In the second phase I stood up to fight with life. I’ve painted the Jokers with cards that give advice in every situation, they are superhuman, called to help in every situation. They are able to replace each card in the deck.

In the third phase, I started looking for wise solutions. I painted hands solving intellectual puzzles – Rubik’s cube.

In the fourth stage, I found solutions that could help to carry me. Increase the energy level. Raise humor. Support. Give meaning. Set goals. These are power cards. I share those with you. It’s a relationship ( Hugging). It’s being in a group that supports ( Hens). It’s nature (A Boat on the lake). It is a rich imagination ( Pippi Longstocking’s Horse). It is happiness – as a permanent state. One can decide to set the mind on happiness ( Clover). It’s sport and carefree fun ( A Boy and girl with hula-hop).

„The world is changing from doing nothing”. This is the motto of Edyta Borzymowska. Edyta claims that reality is created in the heart and the process of creating this exhibition is proof of that.
